Who We Are

The Power Hawks, FRC Team 1111, is an after-school co-curricular program based out of South River High School. Our mission is to inspire future generations through competitive

robotics and introduce students to FIRST® and its values. FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) is a robotics program where high school student develop and grow skills by designing, building and programming a 115-pound robot.

As a team, we are committed to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and forward-thinking environment. We actively advocate for diversity, equity, and accessibility in STEM through initiatives like FIRSTLikeAGirl, LGBTQ+ of FIRST, and MEFIRST. Recognizing the importance of making robotics events accessible to everyone, we are proud to be launching an Accessibility FIRST initiative to improve inclusivity and accessibility at competitions and venues. Beyond the competition field, our team engages in political advocacy by meeting with lawmakers on Capitol Hill throughout the year to champion increased funding for robotics programs and STEM education in schools. We believe in using our platform to create a positive and lasting impact, both within the FIRST community and beyond.
