Our 2025 build season has officially begun, so join us as we dive in feet FIRST into designing our robot. The game for this year is called Reefscape and the objective of this game is to pick up pieces of PVC pipe ('coral') from the ground and place it on pegs between 2 and 6 feet high. The more coral we place, the more points we score!

We are also tasked with retrieving large rubber balls ('algae') from the coral reef and the floor, and delivering it to the algae processor on the side of the field. From this, we receive points. At the conclusion of the match, our robot needs lift itself up off the ground and hang onto a low hanging cage. This will earn us the final points of the match.

We have been busy reading the game manual, deciding our priorities, and making the decisions that will drive the rest of our season. Currently, we are prototyping the mechanisms of our robot to see if they will go the distance on the field.
