About Power Hawks Robotics

 

The Power Hawks Robotics is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed in 2021 and based in Edgewater, Maryland. The club is run by a Board of Directors that consist of volunteers with a wide range of professional backgrounds. The club’s mission is to inspire, support and mentor elementary to high school age youth in STEM and to equip them with the skills necessary to improve the world through competitive robotics. The Power Hawks Robotics implements its mission by acquiring funding in order to support for youth robotics teams based in Anne Arundel county, Maryland that participate in the For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST) robotics program.

Power Hawks Robotics Club’s support currently reaches over 100 students across several FIRST FRC, FLL and FLL Jr.  teams. These highly motivated students are equipped with skills to innovate, create and lead as they design and build robots to compete regionally and nationally.
