Team 1111 Power Hawks
About The Power Hawks
The Power Hawks, FRC Team 1111, (FIRST Robotics Competition) is comprised of about 40 high school students. The team, in collaboration with and oversight of mentors, spend 6 weeks to design and build a robot that weigh up to 125 pounds for competition. The team has a student executive leadership and various sub teams that cover design, controls, fabrication, finance, public relations and events. In the course of their robotics season, students acquire significant experience in hands-on design and engineering. They also learn many skills related to leadership, teamwork, finance, media, event planning and outreach and participants are highly regarded in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM), engineering, and business fields.
