The Mech Hawks
The Mech Hawks went big this year, designing a robot capable of scoring via every avenue available on the field. The biggest and most complicated of the three robots, they struggled for traction until early in their second qualifier, when suddenly everything worked. The Mech Hawks came alive on the field. Autonomous programming earned them commanding leads early, and they were one of the very few robots in the entire state capable of dependably placing the cap ball on its perch, heat after heat. The Mech Hawks put on a show and finished the qualifier ranked first with room to spare and getting their choice of alliance partners. They lost in a heartbreaker in the semi-finals, falling to their sister team Power Hawks in what can only be described as one of the most curious finishes in Mech Hawks history.
